Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

Rolodex is a relationship-management app operated by Interfacing Research Laboratory. This policy describes how we handle information when you use Rolodex.

Information we use

We process your account identifier, name, email address and profile picture to create your account, sign you in and associate your workspace with you. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides this basic profile information through Clerk, our authentication provider. Google sign-in does not give Rolodex access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, calendar or Google contacts.

We also store information you enter or upload, such as people and company records, contact details, notes, meetings, tasks and photos. Only add information you are entitled to use. Hosting and authentication services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and error logs to operate and protect the service.

How we use and share information

We use this information to provide your workspace, save and retrieve your records, authenticate requests, troubleshoot problems and respond to support requests. Signing up does not give other users access to your workspace.

Clerk processes account and session information; Convex provides our database and file storage; Vercel hosts the web app. These providers process information needed to deliver their services and may process it outside your country. Information you deliberately export or give an integration access to is also handled by the destination you choose.

We do not sell your Google account information or use it for advertising. Google account information is used for authentication and account functionality. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the service and its users.

Cookies and local storage

Rolodex and Clerk use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and secure your session. We also save interface preferences, such as your theme and table settings, in your browser. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in from working.

Retention and your choices

We retain account and workspace information while it is needed to provide the service. You can edit your records in the app. Archiving a record keeps it in your workspace; it does not permanently erase it.

For a copy of your information, corrections, or deletion of your account and workspace, contact support@interfacingresearchlaboratory.com. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may remain in backups or security records for a limited period, or where retention is legally required.

You can revoke Google access in your Google Account settings. Revoking access stops future Google authorization but does not itself delete information already stored in Rolodex. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, including the right to raise a concern with your data-protection authority.
